1. Scope and developer
This policy applies to the Android game War of Blue and Grey (package com.newdawn333.warofblueandgrey), published by Vortex Build Labs, including Google Play and sideloaded builds using that app identity.
2. Information stored on your device
The app uses local app storage to remember information needed for gameplay, including settings, save games, campaign progress, casualty records, custom maps, custom battle setups, tutorial progress, and the latest battle replay. This information remains on your device and is not uploaded to Vortex Build Labs.
3. Information the game does not collect
The current build does not include user accounts, advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, crash-reporting services, social login, or cloud storage. It does not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location, or health information. Optional add-on purchases go through Google Play Billing; Vortex Build Labs does not receive payment card details.
4. In-app purchases
Custom Battles & Map Editor and later campaign packs are one-time Google Play products. The app asks Google Play whether this Google account owns an add-on so it can unlock it on the device. Restore purchases repeats that check. Google processes the payment under Google’s Privacy Policy. Purchase records are not uploaded to Vortex Build Labs.
5. Optional feedback through Google Forms
If you choose Send beta feedback, the app opens a Google Forms page in your device’s browser. The form asks for gameplay ratings and an optional written suggestion. Submitting the form is voluntary. Your answers are provided to Vortex Build Labs for testing, support, and improvement of the game. The form does not require you to give Vortex Build Labs your name or email address. Please do not enter passwords or sensitive personal information.
The feedback page is operated by Google. Google may process technical, account, or usage information under Google’s Privacy Policy. Signing in to Google to save form progress is optional and occurs outside the game. The game does not receive your Google account information or a copy of the form response.
6. Network access and device features
The Android package includes internet access so it can open the feedback, privacy, and support pages you select, and so Google Play Billing can confirm add-on ownership. Core gameplay is intended to work offline after installation. The app also uses optional haptics, audio playback, and standard Android lifecycle controls. These features are not used to identify or track you.
7. How information is used and shared
Local game data is used only to run and resume gameplay and remember your choices. Vortex Build Labs does not sell personal information and does not share local game data. Voluntary Google Forms responses and support emails are used to evaluate bugs, balance, usability, privacy inquiries, and requested improvements. Form responses may be processed by Google as the form provider, and email may be processed by the email provider, but this information is not sold by Vortex Build Labs.
8. Security
Local data relies on Android’s app-storage protections. External support pages use HTTPS. Access to submitted feedback is limited to the form owner and services needed to operate Google Forms. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Data retention and deletion
Local game data remains until you clear War of Blue and Grey storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app. Because the game has no cloud account, there is no separate account-deletion process.
Submitted feedback and support correspondence are retained only as long as reasonably needed to review beta quality, answer inquiries, investigate reported problems, and plan improvements, then may be deleted or aggregated. Because the form does not require an identifier, Vortex Build Labs may be unable to locate an anonymous response for individual deletion. You may submit a privacy or deletion inquiry using the contact information below; include only enough detail to identify the response.
10. Children
War of Blue and Grey is a historical strategy war game intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Vortex Build Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Platform services
Google Play and Android may independently process installation, licensing, in-app purchases, security, diagnostics, and fraud-prevention information under Google’s policies. Those platform activities are controlled by Google and are not game analytics operated by Vortex Build Labs.
12. Policy changes
This policy will be updated if the app’s data practices change, such as the future addition of analytics, online features, accounts, or advertising. The effective date at the top will change when the policy is revised.
